This week’s Story Starter teaser is highlighted:

Once the girls left, Beth shuffled through her choices of photo albums. She grabbed
the old album that she wanted. The old photographs made her conscious of her age,
of how much time had passed, and of what an interesting life she’d had. Beth paused
at the bookshelf.  Before she pulled the photo album out from its hiding place,
she froze. Was she ready to do this tonight? Beth stood there grasping the photo
album. It was the one that contained pictures of her husband, Stan. She remembered
when she first met her husband at the age of 16. She was smitten with Stan from
the very first glimpse of him. They were so in love. When he enlisted in the Air
Force, Beth felt like he was deserting her. What she didn’t know at the time was
that they would share a beautiful life after his service duty. When her husband
passed away, Beth was left with the business her and her husband built together.
At times, she felt alone and overwhelmed being a sole owner now. Yet, obligations,
when done, made her life run smoothly. The old photos in this album she held onto
would remind her of the joy in life. Beth and Stan had a beautiful life together
when he was alive. She pulled the photo album off the shelf and then turned around
to have her back against the wall. Beth sat in the comfy chair next to the bookshelf.
She opened the pages of the photo album to be reminded of how beautiful life was
with her husband. When she finished with the album, she got up from the chair and
put the book back in its place. Then, she walked to her room without changing from
her day clothes. Beth took off her shoes, got into bed, and pulled the blanket over
herself. Life was good. Life was “still” good. Memories were reminders of how precious
time and life were. Beth fell asleep, dreaming of her beautiful life.

Until Next Time,

Heidi💜
