JAM
KEELKISS

It was Saturday morning, which meant my children Liza and Cody were home. They could
relax from lessons at school. Plus, I could sleep late. I was off work also on the
weekends. I didn’t have to rush to get ready for us to leave for school or work.
I doubt the kids slept late for fear of missing Saturday morning cartoons. I heard
the commotion of my kids fixing their bowls of cereal in the kitchen. Soon after,
I heard the T V. I finally decided to get out of bed. I walked into the kitchen 
to find the evidence of JAM all over the kitchen cabinet. Cody used it  for his 
toast. My children were watching an episode of the cartoon where the captain of 
a ship was concerned the wind would cause the ship to KEEL over.  The captian’s 
arms muscles grew big, and somehow, he was able to guide his ship to keep it afloat.
The laughter from my kids was heartwarming.  I walked over to the couch and planted
a KISS on both of their heads. Life was good, I thought. Saturdays were a time for
us to refresh.
