**[Monday, June 30^(th): The sight of her took his breath away](https://ten-til-midnight.com/2025/06/30/writing-prompt-the-sight-of-her-took-his-breath-away/)**

It had been years since he had seen her, although the picture of her was brand new
in his mind, porcelain skin that had a warm tint in the summer months, hair that
glimmered a golden hue in the sun, and piercing brown eyes that captivated him every
time he looked into them…there she was standing before him after years gone by…he
was still so in love with her.

But there was a problem, a problem that would stop him in his tracks, one that would
show him no mercy if he decided to ignore it; no matter how he thought he could 
avoid the problem, he had no choice but to face it. Time was the only thing standing
between them. If only he had chosen a different path, what his decision would mean
years later, he would be able to freely communicate. You see, they were from different
sides of the world. They weren’t different races or nationalities; things were more
intense than that. The difference now was maturity, well, her maturity, at least.
After years of heartache, she knew that the past was not something she wanted to
repeat. The years of uncertain feelings shamed her, they took away from her, she
was now who she wanted to be then. A woman of grace.
