OPTION**

Do I have an option? she asked herself as she closed the door to her past life.

To be sure I am making the right decision, I will leave a note, she thought.

The note will ask for forgiveness.

Yes, I will ask for forgiveness and grace, too.

I wonder if they will miss me?

Was this life we created together just a fairy tale, something I dreamed it would
be?…

The spell she was under inclined her to think she was fine when she was actually
falling apart. In Sarah’s mind, her thoughts were always racing. She was worried
about what others thought about her. Shame made her bow her head low. But she wasn’t
at fault. It was years of brainwashing. In her mind, she was led to believe that
the fault was hers to own. Years of wanting to run away. Far away. She would smile
on the outside, but inside, you would find her sighing. All this pretending makes
her feel guilty to some extent. The tolls of feeling like a liar hit heavy in her
chest these days.

She knew she couldn’t give up. Her baby depended on her financially. Having a job
to support herself and her child was something she could not provide over the years
without help-until now. She had to keep her new job a secret until she could make

Like a nightingale, she was free. In twelve minutes, the bus would arrive on its
normal schedule. A TV was placed on the wall of the bus station. On the nightly 
news, she paused to listen to a story about a missing lady and her son. The featured
story was about her. Would she and her son make it to the next state over? But without
the criminals finding her. Those retched people who worked for the company where
she previously worked. She knew an escape would be dangerous. All she had to do 
was get on that bus. Then she and her son could go to the police station there to

Smokey wanted to be a part of today’s selfie. I have no lap, short legs, big stomach
thing, so I prop my foot on my knee. Smokey then finds a seat in my” lap”(he is 
the gray one). Tux is my tuxedo cat who eats McDonald’s French fries.

Monti, on the other hand, is my sidekick and wants to be close to me some days. 
I thought this was a cute picture of him sitting in front of my computer.

Those flowers were my Mother’s Day present from Zach. I love this color. See the
swirl in the top blooms.
