# Public Speaking is easy if you look confident. How do others know how you really feel?

> Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

Yes, I have been in several Cantatas with my church choir. I used to sing in the
choir, by the way, as an adult. I participated in youth music day camp in my hometown,
but also in upstate New York. I was in a youth choir. I guess you figured that out
already by my previous sentence. In college, I had to take an Oral Communications
class. Oh, in high-school I was involved in several projects, and various classes
that involved public speaking. But now my nerves cannot handle public speaking. 
I’ve done enough. It’s not my thing to purposely make myself nervous these days.

Anxiety happens on its own these days as a wife, mom and just the fact that I am
an adult.  Why did we want to grow up so fast?
