I asked the Lord last night if he could let me dream of somewhere nice. He granted my wish. Hold on, I wrote that like God is some genie in a bottle and will grant me three wishes. From my understanding, that’s not who He is. Everything in life is His will for us in this life, right? This had me thinking of the verses in the Bible that talk about Jesus teaching us about prayer,
Matthew 7:7-8
New Life Version
Jesus Teaches about Prayer
7 “Ask, and what you are asking for will be given to you. Look, and what you are looking for you will find. Knock, and the door you are knocking on will be opened to you. 8 Everyone who asks receives what he asks for. Everyone who looks finds what he is looking for. Everyone who knocks has the door opened to him
I am going to be honest and say, “I have questions.” ‘Cause I have prayed about things that didn’t happen. Yet other times, I prayed about something, and my prayer was answered. This fact reminds me of how Jesus prayed before his crucifixion and asked the Lord if there was another way to pay for our sins. A way we wouldn’t have to pay for our sins without him going to the cross to suffer. To be fair, I don’t understand some stuff, so a lot of my faith is built on trust. If it is Heaven, God, life, I am confused at times when I try to understand those things. Anyway, that is the mystery of trust, I think.
Last night, I was edgy. My nerves felt like they could not relax. My days of remron (Mirtazapine) were those where, if I felt edgy, my nightly sleeping pill would calm my nerves down. These days, I choose to take melatonin instead because it’s a more natural way to fall asleep. Weight gain was also a factor for me to consider while taking remron. The thing is, I haven’t lost any weight since I’ve been off of it for months. Considering the fact that I overeat anyway. I drink too much caffeine. Don’t have healthy habits in life. Oh, and never exercise anymore. Catrgiving is a full-time job. Granted, I will take care of my husband till I die. I feel like leaving him behind would be awful for me to do as his wife. Plus, he has loved me at my most unlovable times. He is my trooper. A forever best friend. We will soon celebrate 20 years together. Who knew? November 30, 2004, I said in my vows to love him in sickness and health. I plan to accomplish that very thing in my lifetime. God has blessed us. Even in sickness and health. When I perform marriages, I use the wedding service of The Book of Common Prayer. After addressing the congregation on the purpose of marriage,…
