I’d live in a castle. Home repairs that need to be done will be completed. My family will live there, my extended and immediate family. Of course, my home will have a gym, a movie theatre, a Starbucks, an animal rescue, a pharmacy, and a grocery store. The grounds will be farmland. Oh, a personal chef to cook healthy and satisfying meals. A life of convenience. Okay, so that’s selfish, to have as an ideal?
Funny thing is, I used to dream of a house like that, a lavish house.
Here is my short story for the day:
The lemons at home were about to expire.
My grandpa previously warned me about the religious cult that met at the market on Thursday nights, so I had to sneak out. I was trying to be unseen as I pranced through the house, yet my dog, Skedaddles, woofs beside me. It seemed as if he were announcing my presence. I tiptoe to the bathroom shower; a helicopter zooms overhead as I squint through the curtain. Grandpa is busy singing his blues.
Strolling the street, I come across a parade. I am overwhelmed by a stampede of cheerful cheerleaders waving pompoms.
