Miss Congeniality Day
I remember my first love boyfriend. The one I had at 15. Everything about him was perfect. He was goofy (funny),caring.handsome. We even had drivers Ed together. It was fate. He was everything I ever wanted. I think of him often. You see, he moved. His dad was offered a job in a state so far from me. Of course, our young love selves were devastated. We pledged to get back together one day.
I can’t remember why in the world I started liking another guy (when I turned 16). I dont even remember if I stayed in contact with the first real true love I had at 15. I thought this new guy was cute. The thing was, this new guy ghosted me, was a jerk to me, and was a waste of my time. He ended up with someone else after he dumped me. They are still together( 30+ years… to this day). In fact, they have three kids, a nice house and good jobs. Their life seems peachy. I went on a date with his best friend. At least I thought I was getting back at him. He was in love with someone else. I doubt he cared about what I did.
The best friend guy and I dated maybe a year ( +). I had my TBI at 17. Yes,I was still dating that guy (the best friend of the guy who dumped me). When I had my TBI, my first real true love drove several miles to see me. However, when I was in the hospital, it was the last time I saw my first love. I hurt him immensely being with someone else. Why didn’t I just focus on myself and wait for my first love all those years? I mean, I wonder what life would have been like if I did wait for my goofy (funny), caring, handsome guy who had everything I ever wanted. That’s my fairy tale 🧚♀️ ✨️ 😍 💖
Until Next Time,
Heidi💜
P.s. any love since then hasn’t been the same. Life has not been the same since I lost my first real true love. Also, life hasn’t been the same since my TBI.
