Dear Hope,
When people ask how I am doing, I say, “fine” when in fact, I am not fine; I can barely function.
My heart is heavy; I am so numb of emotions that tears cannot reach my eyes to empty all the sorrow of missing you right now.
I think about our love, I think about you my darling and all the unsaid words of adoration that I would give anything to whisper to you.
Do you feel how much I love you and only you, my grandad wrote in his letter.
I will be home in two months so please keep your ring finger empty.
Save marriage for me, for us.
All My Love,
Carl

Beautifully done.
Have a fabulous day and week, Heidi. ♥
thank you.
Sandee, it’s been a busy week. I am so fortunate to have great and understanding blog friends like you. Thank you
Nice phrase: “keep your ring finger empty”
May they live happily ever after.
I hope so too
Wait. Granddad! That means… She kept the ringfinger empty?!! Awwww. I am such a sucker for stories as such. Beautiful!!!
I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKED THIS🥰
“How are you doing?” and “I’m fine” is the longest running hypocrisy in the world.
YES, IT IS🥰
Well with that kind of a love letter, she’s got to give him more than Hope. Maybe Promise, and Forever? Sweet write!
yes, for sure 🥰
what a nice, engaging Six!
What a beautiful story!
