I dont know why I am so obsessed with perfection. I want things right. If things are not right, I want to fix them.
But… Why is it that I fix someone else ahead of me? It’s good that I think of others, no doubt, but there should be a time that a giver also gives to their selves. Are you a giver who gives to others their needs while you ignore your own? I can relate. I can brush off my needs and say, “Oh, I’ll do that later.” Then later comes, and I am too tired, or I can even feel selfish and not think my needs are important, or maybe say, I’ll do that tomorrow BUT that tomorrow never comes.
This is not playing the victim. This is honesty. If you look at yourself close enough, you can see the hard truth also.
Maybe it’s the caregiver in me. Most women have the “caregiving” characteristic. Which means we love to meet the needs of others. Somehow, along the way,we forget we need to care for ourselves, too. Honestly, we matter, too. How can we figure out how to be our natural caregiver to others yet be in the process of being a caregiver for ourselves?
If we actively seek to find a healthy balance, then maybe we could accomplish it. We also need to figure out people who don’t think the way we do. Time and effort go a long way in creating a healthy balance. Maybe the answer is letting go. We dont have to control everything. We dont have to make sure we make others comfortable with the way they want to be involved. We are in control of us, and that’s all we can control. We shouldn’t accept another’s guilt.
I hope you can find time to meditate today.
Be blessed

I can be someone who neglects my own needs also. It is tough, isn’t it? X
Yes, it is tough
There is very little we can control in life other than our thoughts. 🙂
You are exactly right. I need to work on that
