January, the start of a new year, new beginnings,
a promise for a do-over, some think.
I, on the other hand tend to think of everyday as a new beginning,
we all get a fresh new start every sunrise we witness.
We can choose to embrace our circumstances, to learn from them,
or we can become bitter and harden our hearts in offense.
What experiences are in front of us depends on the things we leave behind.
You see, it’s experience that is the best teacher in life, or so I’ve been told.
It’s also life that humbles you as you age,
or so I’ve been told.
