Carol didn’t want to hang out alone tonight. She wanted tonight to be special between her and Ray. Today was the couple’s 1st anniversary. She wanted them to reminisce together, distraction-free. As she was getting ready, she slipped in the tub. She held her breath for a moment, anticipating the damage her fall caused. So far, she had a goose egg on her forehead and big purple bruises under her eyes. Carol was nervous about how Ray would react. Heart palpitations from the anticipation of their date, along with a headache, as she opened the door. When Carol lifted her head, Ray barely recognized her due to the bruises. He insisted on taking her to the ER to check on her head instead of going out for dinner. Oh well, there is always next time.
