“I didn’t think UNICORNs were real until that day.” My vision was UNCLEAR”, Kali thought as she walked through the forest. There before her eyes, was crisp green foliage from the leaves covering the trees as if it were protection from the sun’s heat. “The canopy of overgrowth foliage was protecting her from the damaging rays of the sun”, she thought. Kali stopped and spread out her blanket. She decided to lie down in the grass filled with wildflowers to look up at the sky that was peeking through the trees. “This is such a lovely place”, she said to herself. At that moment she caught sight of the sky peering through the trees and was in awe of the rainbow that was beginning to form in the sky over the lake. She took a deep breath. In the distance she could hear the water flowing down a huge rock. A sound that was so relaxing that she could fall asleep listening to if she wanted. She felt safe in the forest. She eventually fell asleep while daydreaming. The sound of a twig breaking woke her. Startled, she jumped then sat up to look in the direction of the sound. UNDERNEATH the waterfall she spotted a white horse. “Wait, um, what”? Kali gulped in a shriek that began to form in her throat. She could not imagine ever seeing something so magical in her life. It was a unicorn. Like the ones she read about as a child. Kali squinted her eyes in disbelief only to open her eyes again to see the same image. It was then that she believed in fairytales... She was a princess that was soon to meet a handsome prince. A gentleman that was made for her. She gazed at the unicorn’s beauty and thought to herself, yes, I may fall in love with a prince that I will adore and bring him to my father’s castle. We will live there, have children, live a long life and die together at the same time to be together for eternity.
